My School: Madison Central High School

The new school year is off to a great start at Madison Central!  Students and staff kicked off the new year with an opening day pep rally on the football field in order to welcome students back and create excitement for the new year.

Book Character Pumpkin/Gourd Decorating Contest

   It is that time of year again.  Start thinking about how you want to decorate a pumpkin as your favorite character.

Entries will be accepted starting October 19, 2015. 

All entries will recieve a grab bag.  Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. 
Winner's will be announced at Oct. 30 Renaissance Rally!


MCS leading area districts on Unbridled Learning Assessment

Madison County Schools is pleased to announce that the district outperformed all seven surrounding county school districts as well as Berea Independent Schools in the 2015 Unbridled Learning Assessments. The district remains designated as a "Proficient" district. Proficient means the district ranks in the 70th percentile or above among all 173 Kentucky districts. MCS increased it ranking from the 87th percentile last year to 89th this year among Kentucky districts.

Attendance Matters

Attendance is important in middle school.  When you miss school, you miss information and assignments!!!  Be sure to be here every day.  Click the award to find out more.


Parenting Classes

The Family Resource Centers in collaboration with the Madison County Middle School Counselors are offering the following parenting classes throughout the school year.  All classes will be from 5:30-7:30 with a light dinner being served from 5:30-6:00.  No childcare will be provided. October's meeting will focus on school transitions and will be held at Galaxy Bowling on October 15.  To register please call 387-3836.

My School: Shannon Johnson Elementary

Shannon Johnson Elementary kicked off its Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) program with a Dads and Kids pizza night on Sept. 15. The kickoff included 136 dads or father figures attending.

TEC Baseball Academy

The TEC Baseball Academy Little League Skills Camp is for kids 8th grade and under.  This is a great opportunity for you to develop your skills that are taught to our EKU players. You will be able to learn fundamentals while also having fun during the camp. 

Dates and Times: The camp will take place on Thursday October 8th, Friday October 9th and Monday October 12th.  The camp will run from 9:00am until 12:30pm.

Cost: The cost for all campers is $50.00 per day or $110.00 to attend all 3 sessions.
