Snowball Dance Friday, Dec. 9

Purchase tickets for the Snowball Dance now through Friday, December 9.  Tickets will be sold by Dance Team members in advance for $10 in the library Monday through Friday (Dec. 5-9).  Tickets will not be sold at the door for this dance.  Students must have all cafeteria, bookkeeping, and library charges cleared.  Students attending must have fewer than six unexcused absences.  Guests (defined as anyone who is not a MSHS student) must complete the guest approval form and submit by Monday, December 5.

The Snowball Dance will be held Friday, December 9 from 9 p.m. to 12 midnight at Madison Southern High School Cafeteria.  This is a semi-formal attire event.  Contact any Dance Team member or Mrs. Noe if you have questions.

FMS Sculpture Club enter Made by Milk contest

Foley Middle School’s Sculpture Club has entered the Made by Milk Sculpture Contest. The contest encourages students to build strong bones with milk and flex their creative muscles by repurposing milk cartons. The theme for this year was Inventions. From the wheel to the smartphone, students were encouraged to look at industry, travel, science, education, technology, medicine and entertainment, even futuristic inventions. 

2nd Semester Dual Credit Sign-ups

Dual Credit 2nd semester sign-ups for EKU and Somerset Community College (SCC) are as follows: 

Wednesday, Nov. 30 – EKU
Tues, Dec 13th – SCC

Specific Times to be announced, but it will be in the morning in the Lecture Hall.  All Dual Credit Students should plan to attend.  

MCS Earns Distinguished rating on Unbridled Learning Assessments

Kids are throwing colorful confetti into the air in celebration.Madison County Schools is pleased to announce that the district has earned a classification of “Distinguished” as a district on the 2015-2016 Unbridled Learning Assessments. The district moved up from a “Proficient” designation last year. The “Distinguished” designation means that Madison County Schools is performing among the top 10 percent of districts across the state.
