Volunteer Confidentiality Training schedule available

Back to school time also means it is time for parents, grandparents, and other community members to attend volunteer confidentiality training. Any person who is interested in volunteering in a school, chaperoning a class field trip, or helping in any other way will need to complete the mandatory volunteer confidentiality training. If the training is not completed, that person will be unable to volunteer in any way.

Sports Physical Release Form Required by KHSAA
Attention athletes: the revised KHSAA Sports Physical Release form (dated 4/14) is now available. Students are required to turn in the 4-page release/consent in its entirety before participation for athletics.
You should print this form before your appointment with the physician.  The form will be posted here until Aug 15, but will remain on the Sports section for the remainder of the year.

Please bring your school fee payment ($45) on the day you pick-up schedules.
Note: Schedules will not be distributed before your scheduled pick-up date.

Service Hours and Opportunities

Attention especially Rising Seniors – This is a reminder that you need 10 hours of serves learning before you graduate.  Summer is a great time to get this done and back dated service will no longer be accepted. 

Some volunteers are need for  Kindergarten Open House on August 5th 4 – 8 p.m. Responsiblities would be helping with crowd control, directing people where to go and helping transition groups of children from one station to the next.  contact Lisa Gay; Youth Serve Center Director at  859-387-3449 or 859-387-3205.

World Archery Championships come to Richmond

Caudill Middle School and Madison Central High School have won the World Archery Championships in the middle and high school divisions. The win is a third consecutive title for Caudill Middle School and a first for MCHS. Congratulations to both teams!

New Chief Operations Officer named

Madison County Schools named Randy Neeley as chief operations officer. Neeley will begin his role on July 1, 2014. Neeley has served Madison County Schools as director of pupil personnel since 2010. Prior to serving as DPP, he served Madison County Schools as principal of White Hall Elementary, assistant principal of Madison Middle, and health teacher at Madison Middle. Neeley’s career in education began in 1994 and he has served his entire career in Madison County Schools.
