Back to School information

This week marks the countdown until school starts ... a mere 4 weeks from Wednesday, we will welcome students to another fabulous year of learning and growing! In preparation for that day, you will find Back to School Night information, enrollment information, and school supply lists by clicking HERE. (If your school's information is not yet listed, never fear. It will appear soon.)

Schedule Pick-up for 2015 - 16

Students can pick-up schedules on the following date. 

July 30 - Seniors
July 31 - Juniors
Aug 3 - Sophomores
Aug 4 - Freshmen (as a part of orientation)

Time of Schedule pick-up is 9 - 2 .

Students will not be able to pick-up schedules early.  Please, try to pay your $45 dollar school fees at time of schedule pick-up.    Freshman need to register with Youth Service Center for  Freshman Orientation. 


Volunteer Training Schedule available

Parents are encouraged to serve in the schools as volunteers. Volunteering includes anything from helping in the front office, to helping with a school event, to supervising on a field trip. If you are a parent who anticipates volunteering at some point in the school year, you will need to complete Volunteer Confidentiality Training. You can find the schedule for trainings HERE. Special SBDM Meeting for July

There will be a Madison Southern High School SBDM Special Meeting on July 30 at 10:30 am to discuss personnel. Starting August the SBDM meetings will be the 2nd Thursday of the month. 

Principal selections made for Caudill and Madison middle schools

Madison County Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of principals for B. Michael Caudill Middle School and Madison Middle Schools. Che Haselwood will be principal at BMCMS and Amie Gallion will be principal at MMS.

District has 14 schools eligible for CEP

Beginning on the first day of school, Madison County Schools will have 14 schools eligible for the Community Eligibility Program. ALL students at the CEP eligible schools will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge each day of the 2015-2016 school year. Children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

MCS among 44 districts approved for non-traditional instructional days

In the upcoming school year when bad weather hits Kentucky, students in 44 school districts will continue learning even if they aren’t at school. Madison County Schools is among them.

Freshman Orientation Registration

All incoming Freshman should plan to attend the Madison Southern Freshman Orientation on August 4 from 8:45 - 12:30. 

Open Enrollment - New Students

Open Enrollment for the 2015-16 school year for Madison Southern will begin on July 13 thru the beginning of school.  Hours will be from 9-2 each day.

Three district positions filled

Madison County Schools is pleased to announce the names of individuals selected to fill three vacant district positions. Congratulations to Mark Woods, Director of Financial Services; Scott Anderson, Director of Food Services; and Steve Evans, District Assessment Coordinator.

Board approves 2015-2016 school year calendar

The Madison County Board of Education approved the district's 2015-2016 school year calendar at its regular meeting April 16. The calendar can be viewed or printed by clicking HERE.
