On Demand Writing Exam at MCHS

MCHS will give the state On Demand Writing Exam on Wednesday, May 4, 2106.  It is imperative students are at school, ON TIME, on this date. Students may not check out between 8:05 - 11:00 AM on this day.  Students will test in homeroom.  They should get plenty of rest the night before the exam and eat a healthy breakfast before school on the day of testing.

MCHS Graduation Date is Set

Madison Central High School Graduation Ceremony will be held at EKU Alumni Coliseum on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

Summer Opportunities for Kids

As summer is quickly approaching, the district has created a page on its website for Summer Opportunities for Kids. This page includes everything from programming at the Madison County Public Library to baseball camps at Madison Central to weekly camps at St. Mark School to vacation bible schools. SENIORS: Senior Walk at Waco Elementary

Seniors who would like to participate in a Senior Walk at Waco Elementary should sign up outside Mrs. Briscoe's room (#1008).  Seniors would report to MCHS by 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13th, ride a bus to Waco Elementary, walk through the halls while the elementary students cheer them on and return to MCHS around 9:00 a.m.  Be sure to WEAR YOUR CAP AND GOWN!  Only 50 spots available!

Dates set for 2016 graduations

The Board of Education has set the graduation dates and times for both high schools. Madison Southern High School's graduation will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 20. Madison Central High School's graduation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21. Both graduations will take place at Eastern Kentucky University's Alumni Coliseum.

Senior Awards Day at Madison Central High School is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11 at 6:00 PM in the MCHS auditorium.

Madison County Schools would like to congratulate Tonya Conley of Kingston Elementary and Lauren Cain of White Hall Elementary on earning their National Board certification. Earning National Board certification is a lengthy, rigorous process, and requires a great deal of dedication to the teaching profession.

FMS teacher receives PBS Innovation Grant

Melissa Metcalf, science and math teacher at Foley Middle School, has been named a 2016 PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovator. Metcalf is among a diverse group of tech-savvy educators from across the country selected for her passion and commitment to innovative teaching practices that integrate digital media and technology in the classroom.
