EKU Now Registration

EKU Now registration for students taking dual credit classes  is Thursday, August 4.  Students should check their EKU emails for times, places and details.  THIS IS MANDATORY for students signing up for dual credit classes.

MCHS Schedule Pick-Up

MCHS sophomores, juniors & seniors may pick up 2016-17 schedules on the dates listed below.  Be prepared to pay $45 school fees unless you qualify for free or reduced lunch.  Juniors & seniors may purchase parking passes for $20 and choose lockers.  Click here for parking pass information.

  • Seniors may pick up schedules on August 1 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM in cafeteria.
  • Juniors may pick up schedules on August 2 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM in cafeteria.
  • Sophomores may pick up schedules on August 3 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM in cafeteria.
MCHS Freshman Orientation

MCHS Freshman Orientation will take place on Thursday, August 4, from 3:00-6:00 PM in the Health Building Lobby. A parent meeting will occur at 5:00 PM in the MCHS auditorium.  Please note the following information:

  • Be prepared to pay $45 school fees unless you qualify for free or reduced lunch.
  • Wear comfortable clothes for planned activities.
  • Kona Ice, community members & school clubs will be present to welcome the class of 2020.
New Student Registration

Register new students at Madison Central on Wednesday, July 27, from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  Come to the main office at the front of the school.  Required forms include birth certificate, social security card, and immunization record.

MCHS junior attends HOBY

Kate Nash, a rising junior at Madison Central High School, attended the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar (HOBY) hosted at Eastern Kentucky University. More than 220 students from across the state were in attendance. She will now have the opportunity to attend the 2016 World Leadership Congress Seminar in Chicago at Loyola University. The World Leadership Congress is the largest and longest running program for student leadership. Now in its 48th year, HOBY continues to inspire students to motivate, challenge and lead. Students from all over the world will attend. Kate hopes to bring back ideas that will help others understand how important it is to be a leader in your community. 

MCS Dana Clark named Driver Trainer of the Year

Madison County Schools Head Driver Trainer Dana Clark was selected as Driver Trainer of the Year for the state of Kentucky. She received the award at the Driver Trainer Conference held in Louisville at the end of June. Dana has worked in the district’s transportation department for about 18 years.

Two MCS students to attend Craft Academy at Morehead State

Two Madison County Schools rising juniors have been selected to attend the Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics for the remainder of their high school careers. Congratulations to Madison Central's Stefan Kwiecinski and Madison Southern's Abigail Williams!

Summer Opportunities for Kids

As summer is quickly approaching, the district has created a page on its website for Summer Opportunities for Kids. This page includes everything from programming at the Madison County Public Library to baseball camps at Madison Central to weekly camps at St. Mark School to vacation bible schools.
