Principal selections made for Caudill and Madison middle schools

Madison County Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of principals for B. Michael Caudill Middle School and Madison Middle Schools. Che Haselwood will be principal at BMCMS and Amie Gallion will be principal at MMS.

District has 14 schools eligible for CEP

Beginning on the first day of school, Madison County Schools will have 14 schools eligible for the Community Eligibility Program. ALL students at the CEP eligible schools will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge each day of the 2015-2016 school year. Children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

MCS among 44 districts approved for non-traditional instructional days

In the upcoming school year when bad weather hits Kentucky, students in 44 school districts will continue learning even if they aren’t at school. Madison County Schools is among them.

MCHS Soccer

If your son intends to try out for the Madison Central High School boys soccer team and you attended a recent meeting with Coach Evan Sutherland please e-mail your contact information to him at coachsutherland@hotmail.com.  This contact information will be used to keep you informed about important upcoming dates.

Pick Up MC Report Cards

Report cards can be picked up in the front office from 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM beginning June 9, 2015 by the student or parent/guardian. 

Advertise on MCHS Freshman Tee Shirts!

Madison Central High School is welcoming 560 freshmen this fall. Each freshman will receive a Class of 2019 t-shirt at the Freshman Orientation Program after a fun afternoon with our crew. Would you or your organization like to be seen by 560 families in the Madison County area? Volunteer Confidentiality Training for 2015-16

Click here for the 2015-16 volunteer confidentiality training schedule.  All trainings will be presented by the School FRYSC.

 

Volunteer recertification letters (lavender color) were mailed last week from the MCBE.  These letters must be returned to the Youth Services Center or MCBE as soon as possible in order to remain on the volunteer certification list for next year.

Class of 1980 Reunion

1980 - 35 YEAR CLASS REUNION

 

The Class of 1980 will be having their 35th Class Reunion on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
 

We will start out with a picnic from 12-3 followed by a get-together at Gillums (back room) at 6:00 p.m.  Cost for the picnic is $36.00 couple/$18.00 single.  Please check out our Facebook page at Madison Central High School Class of 1980 35 Year Class Reunion.  We will have a website with the form and PayPal by July 1, 2015.  If you have any questions you can email currfam1@roadrunner.com or  cheriehtracy@aol.com.

Three district positions filled

Madison County Schools is pleased to announce the names of individuals selected to fill three vacant district positions. Congratulations to Mark Woods, Director of Financial Services; Scott Anderson, Director of Food Services; and Steve Evans, District Assessment Coordinator.

 

 

Board approves 2015-2016 school year calendar

The Madison County Board of Education approved the district's 2015-2016 school year calendar at its regular meeting April 16. The calendar can be viewed or printed by clicking HERE.

MC Advance Scholars Academy

8th Grade Parents:  For Class of 2019 cohort students who were invited to join the Madison County Advanced Scholars Academy click here to see the information was presented.  Please look at it if you missed the informational meeting on Tuesday, March 10th or would like to review the material we discussed. The deadline for applications has been extended to Friday, March 26th.  Complete applications can be turned into your middle school guidance counselor or into Madison Central High School with attention to Nicki Tipton.
