Vivian Bowles Named KGHS Teacher of the Year

More than 200 students from across the state attended the event where Vivian Bowles, teacher at Kit Carson Elementary School, was named KGHS Teacher of Year.

Watch D.O.G.S Program Coming to Kingston

The Family Resource Center is very excited to be introducing a new program for the 2016-2017 school year.  Our school will be a Watch D.O.G.S. Summer Opportunities for Kids

As summer is quickly approaching, the district has created a page on its website for Summer Opportunities for Kids. This page includes everything from programming at the Madison County Public Library to baseball camps at Madison Central to weekly camps at St. Mark School to vacation bible schools. MSHS receives bronze award for college readiness

Kingston Family Health Night

Kingston Families are invited to attend our April Family Night on Thursday, April 7 from 5:30-7:00. Healthy activities will be set up in the gym for our families to enjoy. Dinner will be provided.

Kingston Archery Team Donates Money to The Family Resource Center

Kingston Archery Team members recently competed in a "Shoot-A-Thon". They donated earnings to the Kingston Family Resource Center. We are very proud of these boys and girls for supporting their FRC!

MCS adds two names to list of NBCT in district

Madison County Schools would like to congratulate Tonya Conley of Kingston Elementary and Lauren Cain of White Hall Elementary on earning their National Board certification. Earning National Board certification is a lengthy, rigorous process, and requires a great deal of dedication to the teaching profession.

FMS teacher receives PBS Innovation Grant

Melissa Metcalf, science and math teacher at Foley Middle School, has been named a 2016 PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovator. Metcalf is among a diverse group of tech-savvy educators from across the country selected for her passion and commitment to innovative teaching practices that integrate digital media and technology in the classroom.

Kingston's Reading Extravaganza

You are invited to attend Kingston Elementary's Reading Extravaganza on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Each grade level has something special planned. The event will be from 5:30 - 7:00. (5th Grade students attending need to be at Kingston at 5:20 in order to be ready for their performances.)

 

5th Grade will also be presenting during the day:

1st Period: 8:15 - 8:55

2nd Period: 9:15 - 9:55

3rd Period: 10:15 - 10:55

6th Period: 1:15 - 1:55

Kindergarten Registration Information

Kindergarten registration for the 2016-2017 school year will begin soon! If your child will be 5 on or before Oct. 1, 2016, s/he is eligible to start kindergarten this fall. For registration dates and times or to find out which of the four kindergarten academies your child will attend, please click HERE.

Kingston's Grand Squad

Kingston's Grand Squad is comprised of several Kindergarten grandparents that volunteer their time to read and work with our Kindergarten students on a regular basis. They are true superheroes!

 

Car Rider Information - Kingston Elementary

To proceed through the car rider line, you must have the Kingston issued Car Rider tag visible.

Starting tomorrow (9/15/15), if the person picking up the child does not have the issued tag:

  • They must park and wait until after 3:15
  • Come into the office for the pick-up to be approved or confirmed with the check-out card
