6th Grade Cube Creatures with the 3Doodler
6th grade Visual Art students in Mrs. Weiner’s class have been studying the Elements of Art Line, Shape, Form and Value. Using these Elements they created Cube Creatures with the 3Doodler pens. Students started out making six squares with a cross-hatching value technique that they assembled to create a cube with the 3Doodler PLA plastics. Using triangular prisms, they created legs for their Cube Creature that would have strength to hold the weight of the cube. Once they assembled the cube and triangular prisms together, they used the 3Doodler ABS plastics to build arms and additional attachments, such as eyes, mouth and hair. From Dragon Cube Creatures to Skateboarding Cube Creatures, it was an exciting STEAM lesson.
